Searching the globe for delicious eats and tantalizing stories

I combine my two passions of food and travel by searching the globe for delicious eats and tantalizing stories. Iโm not afraid to see whatโs around the next corner, and I want to try what everyone else is eating, even if it means sharing their chopsticks. My curiosity landed me in a Chinese police station once, but also led me to a fantastic community bread oven in the heart of Marrakech. Strong black licorice and donkey meat sandwiches are two of my favorite things, just not at the same time. I like leg-burning hikes and places that push my comfort zone, because they both make me feel alive.
These adventures have led to some great stories.ย

My travel stories from Thailand, Mexico, Morocco, China, and Iceland have been published inย GoNOMAD,ย World Footprintsย Grown & Flown,ย Orlando Family Magazine,ย The Local,ย Everett Potterโs Travel Report,ย The Beijinger,ย BeijingKidsย and various newspapers.ย
My food writing credits include restaurant reviews and roundups, a monthly food column that spanned 3 years, advertorials, food culture and history, holiday entertaining guides, how-to pieces, and chef/personality profiles. Iโve been published inย The Spokesman-Review,ย The PNW Inlander, Spokane Coeur DโAlene Livingย magazine,ย The Seattle Times,,ย Where Traveler, Southwest Orlandoย Bulletin,ย Orlando The City Magazine,ย Orlando Family,ย PLAYGROUND magazine, andย Edible Orlando.

In my hometown of Winter Garden, Iโm constantly on the hunt for interesting new places, sharing my finds with The Local magazine as an Advisory Board Member and on Instagram @WinterGardenFoodie.
