Searching the globe for delicious eats and tantalizing stories

I combine my two passions of food and travel by searching the globe for delicious eats and tantalizing stories. I’m not afraid to see what’s around the next corner, and I want to try what everyone else is eating, even if it means sharing their chopsticks. My curiosity landed me in a Chinese police station once, but also led me to a fantastic community bread oven in the heart of Marrakech. Strong black licorice and donkey meat sandwiches are two of my favorite things, just not at the same time. I like leg-burning hikes and places that push my comfort zone, because they both make me feel alive.
These adventures have led to some great stories.

My travel stories from Thailand, Mexico, Morocco, China, and Iceland have been published in GoNOMAD, World Footprints Grown & Flown, Orlando Family Magazine, The Local, Everett Potter‘s Travel Report, The Beijinger, BeijingKids and various newspapers.
My food writing credits include restaurant reviews and roundups, a monthly food column that spanned 3 years, advertorials, food culture and history, holiday entertaining guides, how-to pieces, and chef/personality profiles. I’ve been published in The Spokesman-Review, The PNW Inlander, Spokane Coeur D’Alene Living magazine, The Seattle Times,, Where Traveler, Southwest Orlando Bulletin, Orlando The City Magazine, Orlando Family, PLAYGROUND magazine, and Edible Orlando.

In my hometown of Winter Garden, I’m constantly on the hunt for interesting new places, sharing my finds with The Local magazine as an Advisory Board Member and on Instagram @WinterGardenFoodie.
